Fundraising
The Peninsula Medical School Foundation is a member of the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB). The FRSB is the body for self-regulation of fundraising in the UK. The FRSB scheme is open to all fundraising organisations and members will agree to adhere to the highest standards of good practice with their fundraising and a Fundraising Promise. The logo demonstrates our mark of commitment and assurance to the third sector and to our donors that we adhere to the Fundraising Codes of Practice and are transparent in our approach to fundraising. Fundraising Ideas
Foundation welcomes individuals, groups, clubs and societies who choose our medical research as their fundraising priority. We are enthusiastic about developing relationships with all our supporters and are available for talks, meetings and visits to get you started on some fundraising activities for the year.
We also organise some of our own events – please see the Calendar of Events to see what we currently have listed. Should you like to take part in an activity listed, or assist as a volunteer, please contact the fundraising officer for further information via foundation@pms.ac.uk or by telephone:

- Organise a stall at a local event
- Organise a coffee morning
- Organise a tea party or dinner party in aid of the charity
- Organise a disco / karaoke evening / themed party!
- Ask your children or grandchildren's school to have a dress down day in aid of a particular area of research
- Request family / friends make donations to the charity on your birthday
- Request family / friends make donations to the charity on an anniversary
In Memoriam
We also have a number of supporters who have very kindly requested that donations be made to the charity in lieu of flowers at funerals. This is a lovely gesture and one that we very much appreciate. On average the charity receives around £10,000 a year from In Memoriam donations.
We also are aware that many people wish to leave a Gift to the charity by way of legacy. This enables us to continue with the advancement of our medical research. For further information on this please go to our Legacy page.
Online Fundraising

Peninsula Medical School Foundation is now listed on everyclick.com - a search engine that gives 50% of its revenue to charity. Using everyclick.com as your search engine does not cost you or us any money, but every time you use it you raise money for Foundation.
Please start raising money for us whenever you search the web. Just go to http://www.everyclick.com/uk/peninsulamedicalschoolfoundation you can then click on the links in the top right hand corner to either set it as your home page or add it to your favourites.
Peninsula Medical School Foundation has now registered on Justgiving.com – this means that for any event where you are looking for sponsorship, or if you are having a birthday or anniversary you can now set up a web page and ask your friends and colleagues to make a donation on-line by debit or credit card.
All you need to do is go to www.justgiving.com and follow the instructions to set up a fundraising page. You will be asked to choose a fundraising category (e.g. sport); set yourself a target; write a message about what you are raising money for and to upload a photo of yourself. It does not cost you a penny and it means money raised goes straight into the Peninsula Medical School Foundation fund so you do not have to worry about collecting monies off everyone and sending it to us! Nothing could be simpler! Whether it is a sporting achievement, a birthday, a sponsored haircut, guess the baby weight or sponsored diet - go on – get started today!
