Medical and Dental Education

The Peninsula Medical School Foundation currently funds bursaries to encourage and support talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds who may be deterred from taking up medical education on financial grounds.

We know that young people from all sorts of backgrounds have the talent and the desire to become the doctors of the future. However social and financial pressures may prevent them from realising their ambition of becoming a doctor. Through our bursary programme we are helping them to achieve their dream of changing patients lives by becoming doctors. Many of them are from Devon and Cornwall and relish the idea of contributing to local health care. Help us to support them during their studies.

We are fortunate enough to have secured three bursaries from local trusts:

  • The Masterman Bursary
  • Plymouth Medical Society Bursary
  • The Northcott Devon Bursary

If you are interested in setting up a Bursary with the School then please contact us on 01752 437450 or via email foundation@pms.ac.uk or in writing to
